How We Started
It started with a dream to help make the world a better place.
Now, it is a reality.
It all started in August 2019, while walking on a trail in Big Bear. As we trekked along, we noticed bits and pieces of trash had been scattered across the trail. This experience opened our eyes to the detrimental effects of human activity, as the artificial products had spoiled the natural landscape of Mother Nature’s many trails.
With this in mind, our founder, Randi Castillo, created a grassroots campaign called “50 Cleanups in 50 Weeks” to encourage the public to help pick up litter. Determined to step up our cleanup game, Castillo and [number] of others consistently cleaned up waste that had soiled up [numbers of] beaches, parks, and trails. The campaign was declared a success, and it laid the foundation of what is now known as the National Park Volunteers.
National Park Volunteers is a non-profit organization that strives to beautify our home planet in any way we can. We host [weekly/monthly/etc] volunteering sessions.
As the years go by, we hope that our efforts to beautify the Earth will not only be limited to trash pick-up. With this goal in mind, we hope to inspire others to join us and leave the world a better place for future generations. While the trash we pick up may not be ours, the planet we live in sure is! Now, just like our motto states, let’s leave “No Waste Left Behind!”
Our team works hard to unite and inspire others to help preserve Mother Nature’s beautiful gifts. Not as just a hobby, but a way of life.
Will you join us?
